Independence: FG declares Oct 3 public holiday

ABUJA—The Federal Government has announced Monday, October 3, as public holiday to mark Nigeria’s 51st independence anniversary, a statement from the Ministry of Interior said Monday.
The statement signed by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Alhaji S.B Ozigis, on behalf of the Minister, also wished all Nigerians a blissful independence anniversary celebration.
It quoteACd President. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as urging all Nigerians to continue to fervently pray for enduring peace and progress in the country.

  1. let october be a time to reflect if it is necessary to continue with this fake union or should it be a parting time...security issue should also be tackle with all seriousness, the panel who suggested amnesty for bokoharam and sultan as the representative of bokharam should be seen as enemies of nigeria...oct should be a new chapter to be very out to face enemies and beat them down hands down!

Nigeria Never Have Independence Yet Because Nigeria Are Still Rule By British But Mr President Need To Use That 3rd October To Announce Sovereign National Conference (SNC) That Is What All Nigerians Both Home And Abroad Is expecting Him To Do So That All Ethnic Group Will Come Together And Decide The Future Of Their People That Is Living In Nigeria For The Peace To Reign Among The People.That Is What Nigerians Need Now And That Is The Only Celebration We Want To Celebrate
