Promotion is good but the beneficiaries must appreciate it with effective policing in fulfilment of their constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and property.

Promotion means additional responsibility. Many lives in our country have been wasted by reckless use of bullet muscle to bulletless citizens. May this promotion bring a common sense approach and rich wisdom to our officers, especially those on the local road and highways. Amen. If you want to understand how empty life can be, just think of a close relative or friend whose life was cut short by a bullet from police or criminals. Certainly there is more to life. But one must first live to see the good days.
ReplyDeleteWhen people do their job very well, at least, they deserved to be elevated. After all, forceful collection of twenty Naira at their toll gate, sorry, check point and the killing of anyone who failed to pay is a job well done. NONSENSE!
ReplyDeletePromotion in the midst of Boko haram bombings in the country, these contry police have no shame at all. The promotion should have been withheld for some months and allow the noise of the bombings to cool down in the eyes of the public.
