Jos – The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) said on Wednesday that most hospitals in Nigeria lacked the essential equipment and manpower to handle trauma cases.
The Public Education Officer of the commission, Jos sector command, Mr Badamasi Sa’idu, made the disclosure during a sensitisation workshop organised by the commission for staff of ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
He stressed that the situation has made the country unable to sustain road traffic injuries.
“Developing countries like Nigeria most times cannot provide health care service that can sustain road traffic crash injuries.
