Irked by the ease with which sub-standard power generating sets manufactured in China make inroad into the Nigerian market due largely to poor monitoring by Nigeria’s regulatory agencies, a Chinese manufacturer has called on the Federal Government to set up a mechanism to check the importation of fake generators into Nigeria.Mr Bill Cai, marketing director, Launtop Group, manufacturers of generators, made the call yesterday in Fuzhou, China, while speaking with a correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
He said the call became necessary in view of the many complaints being received of many fake generators flooding the Nigerian market.
He said while it was true that such generators originated from China but Nigerian dealers encouraged unscrupulous Chinese manufacturers to manufacture fake products in order to make more profit.
“In Nigeria, the Tiger brand of generator is on the high demand and people complain of having lots of fake from China.
“In China, we have more than five different companies using the brand name Tiger while it is only one that is the original manufacturer, so most marketers from your country prefer to purchase from cheaper source,” Cai said.
He said he was optimistic that when such mechanism was put in place, it would ensure that only original products are produced and exported to Nigeria.
Listen Mr. Cai and the Nigerian unpatriotics, we Nigerians do not want your generators rather electricity as in China. Why not complain how you can help Nigeria establish a great electricity system instead of poluting our environment with your generator noises and ruining our air quality. Yes Nigerian business men/women a "bastards" who can sleep with their mothers if that will make them rake in profits. Why doesn't Mr. Cai sell cheap and dangerous generators in China, becuase he will be shot in the public for cheating fellow Chinese, but in Nigeria, he will be having dinner with the President and running the commerce Ministry from a Chinese restaurant.
ReplyDeleteMr Cai and the other producers in are all birds of the same feather. They're all bend at maximising profit. Why do we need to be encourage to import generators? As a matter of urgency, I think Mr. President should make his own regime unique by showing his distractors that he is equal to the task by concentrating on generating power to Nigeria. If president Jonathan can achieve the supply of stable power in his 4year reign, believe me everybody will truly love him irrespective of religion or ethnicity. He will achieve what nobody has achieve in Nigeria and irrespective of the accord between him and the south east, Nigerians will want him back. I think he should try my advice and see wonders.
ReplyDeleteThis fake generator and fake product importer's in Nigerian should go to jail like the fake importer's of pharmaceutical equipments too ,there are the reason Nigerian is a dumping ground for all kinds of fake products, There go and lobby NEPA not to take there job serious if i was a president i will over haul NEPA and put capital punishment against any imports of substandard product that comes to Nigerian ports...
